Australians have been glued to their monitors for the past few days in anticipation of the announcement of the new financial year's Federal Budget. Following the announcement, pundits were quick to point out the opportunities as well as the wins of the proposal.

In response, I've created an explainer video and a series of infographics to help you understand the different items in the National Budget. You will see both the video and infographics links below.

Under the proposed budget's Big Business Spending goals is one notable addition: a $1.6 billion allotment for the development of a COVID-19 vaccine. So while scientists focus on helping to create one, it is also good to understand the intricacies involved in creating a vaccine. I found an article that captures this.

In housing, the Federal Government's efforts to stimulate spending to minimise the economic impact of COVID-19 include providing housing incentives. One of these incentives is geared to first homeowners. With this incentive and others in place at the state level, it may be a good time for you to think about buying your first home.

In business, the number of COVID-19 cases in Australia now seems to be stabilizing, and many are looking for ways to financially recover. For some, the best way to go is to start a business. If you're one of those people, then I found the perfect article for you to read before you get started.
